I am thrilled and honored to be participating in this year’s 3 Americans exhibition at the Arnot Museum in Elmira, NY. The exhibition will feature 14 of my signs and architecture paintings. It runs from February 17th-April 26th, 2024.

My new Flow Series was born out of a craving for more time in “the zone,” in a “flow” state. While working on my last few Precision Series realism oil paintings, I was feeling a deep desire to create art that is more immediate and spontaneous, where the outcome can’t be determined, or fully predicted ahead of time. I was also longing to be so immersed in my work that I lose track of time, to be fully engaged, and in “the zone”.

Exploring a new subject matter helped me clarify my “voice.”
While I was working on my painting See America (Arches), my favorite section to paint was the reproduction of the WPA poster advertising Arches National Park. It got me thinking about what it would be like to have nature as my subject. Time in nature is restorative to me, and some of my favorite personal experiences have been hiking and touring dramatic landscapes.

I’m thrilled to have been interviewed recently by the German publication, EF Magazin, for a special section on Photorealism.

I am excited to announce that my work is now represented by Arden Gallery. This spectacular gallery is a "must see" if you're in Boston. My new solo exhibition at Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts, Roadside Attraction, features recent paintings inspired by road trips through the everyday, American landscape. My idealized portraits of signs are an ode to the beauty I find in the three-dimensional, human-made world.

Over the past year and a half, I have been hard at work producing new paintings for my upcoming solo show at Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts. The show will take place virtually October 2nd through November 28th, 2020. Follow me on Instagram to see my progress.
